Gifts & call of God without repentance?

What does it mean that God will not repent of the gifts and call that he has sent out? We hear this quoted all the time in Romans, but is this actually what we think it means, or is it misinterpreted?
Before we get into this segment I want to clarify that we are talking about the gift(s) of God, not the gift(s) of Holy Spirit, there is a difference and we will learn what those are as well, when I cover the topic of the gifts of the Spirit in a future segment.

Gifts of God:
The number one gift that God has given us is Salvation and Redemption for eternal life thru his Son Yeshua Romans 6:23, John 3:16

Remember that Satan, who was Lucifer at the time messed with the creators finest creation and that which was lovely and good to Him, in other words when Satan tricked Eve and Adam, he messed up big time by messing with Gods own heart!
Therefore , we have been given the greatest of gifts, the opportunity to repent and believe upon God and His Son for another shot at that true paradise that God created for mankind in the beginning.
Satan has no chance for that, his fate is sealed and he knows it!

Faith: Eph. 2:8,For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– In other words we can’t take the credit for it.
1 John 5:15 Says that if we have this confidence (faith) in knowing that God hears us, then we know or have faith that He is going to answer us.

Grace: EPH.2:8-9, ROM. 12:3-8

Holy Spirit: ACTS 2:38, JOHN 14:17 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

Truth Holy Spirit: John 15:16 Only comes through the Holy Spirit

Rom 11: we see Apostle Paul, We must keep in mind that the Apostle Paul is an Apostle to the Gentiles. He is speaking to the Roman church, the early church there, most likely a mixture of Jewish believers and Gentiles, keep in mind also that Paul is also a Roman Citizen by birth, and He was also Jewish.
Sometimes called or known by his Jewish name Saul, or Shaul. So He would know Romes customs, rites and rituals all to well. Remember where Paul came from, he was a persecutor of the Church! Before he was an Apostle!
and he is telling them here in this passage of scripture how great our God is in his gift of Salvation and the Salvation plan God will not relent, repent nor revoke. That God has not and never will forsake his own word!

Paul is informing the Gentiles believer and reassuring the Jewish believer that God has not repented of or revoked his love for Israel simply because they have spiritual blinders on. He is reminding them that God always has a “remnant” Paul refers to this as he refers to God informing Elijah that in fact he had 7000 in reserve, much to Elijah’s astonishment I am sure!

He has chosen Israel as his chosen people, and he will not revoke that choice, though they have rejected Yeshua as the Messiah for a time and a season. It is important to hear “time & season” becuase as we know, our God always has a plan and a purpose!
That rejection is actually a gift of God to all (gentiles) now have a opportnity for the greatest gift of all, Salvation and eternal life, through His grace in placing a spiritual stupor upon a portion of the Jews.

Way back in Deut 32 God said because they have rejected Him, he will provoke the Jew to jealousy in the Gentile believer., he will use the Gentiles to bring them back!
Also we have a joint duty to bring light into the darkness, remember that
The Gentile Christians and the Jewish Believers are going to see the fullness of God’s plan unfold when we walk in what He has called us to; individually and jointly.

His people; Jews and Gentiles together as “one new man” to fulfill our joint calling.

That means Gentile Christians must open our collective eyes to the faithful plan of God to restore the nation of Israel and for Jewish Believers to share with their Gentile brothers and sisters the insight and knowledge that they have from their different vantage point. Eph. 2:14 For He Himself is our peace and our bond of unity. He who made both groups (Jews and Gentiles) into one body and broke down the barrier, the dividing wall (of spiritual antagonism between us)

Gal 3:28 28 “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

As Gentiles believers we are grafted into the vine, that is Yeshua the Messiah, He is the vine, we are the branches, and He is the Jewish born Messiah.

All Israel Will Be Saved

Paul goes on to tell us about the future salvation of the Nation of Israel, beginning in verse 25 of Romans 11:

25 ” I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved.

As it is written:

“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27
And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

28 ” As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.”

So the gift or gifts that Paul is referring to in this passage is not to be confused with the gifts of the Spirit, but he is speaking about Gods gifts and plan of Salvation through the promise he made with Avraham, and the Nation of Israel.

To sum it up, the gift of God that is irrevocable is His salvation plan for mankind, after we needed it! His calling to redemption using Israel is without repentance,
His plan of redemption for us from a foe that we could not win against, remember that Lucifer was created very wise, but who’s creator was and is the wisest of all!

Prince of the Power of the Air

fog-tree-desert-sky-60703.jpeg

Who is this Prince of the power of the air, and what exactly does that mean?

Satan or the ” Adversary” is the Prince of the power of the air, according to  Eph. 2: 2-3

Remember that Satan is the Father of rebellion and disobedience, or those who have the Anti Christ spirit.

This Spirit that is “against Christ” is an Anti Christ spirit, not necessarily one entity or as we know “Satan” but any spirit that is against Christ.

Satan is a created being, and so he was created with certain power and abilities like all of us right? God does not take back the gifts that are placed within us according to Romans 11:29-31. His gifts are “irrevocable.” So those same gifts are still in operation even with Satan and working in the “realm” or “air” the he has control over.

Remember that our gifts and abilities can be used for good, or evil it’s our own choice because God gave us the freedom the choose. God did not create Satan, he created Lucifer, it was not until he rebelled against God’s authority that he became Satan or the lawless one, instead of “light bearer” or Lucifer.

According to Scripture there are distinct realms, or what would be better translated as “spheres of influence”  one realm is where God is seated, There God is God who sits on His throne and has no equal, the scriptures tell us that Yeshua sits at His right hand awaiting His time to return. So in this realm Satan has no authority, no say, and no power!

We often forget that Yeshua Himself also had to face Satan and win against him before he began his earthly ministry.  The bible tells us the He “Yeshua” was led into the wilderness by the spirit of God, to be tested of the devil.

Luke 4:6 tells us that Satan took Yeshua and said I will give you all the kingdoms of this world if you will but bow  down and worship me.

Yeshua of course replied ” it is written you must worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.”

But, Satan chooses to worship only himself. He was not happy being in the presence of God, he wanted to be like God. So he rebelled and took 1/3 of the Angels in heaven, which we now know as “demons.”

God did not create “Satan” He created “Lucifer” or “light bearer.” It was pride that caused Satan to be puffed up with himself and think he could win a match against the creator, well he found out he was not strong enough, he was cast out from the presence of God and into another “realm.” He has power in this realm and he has influence over some things in this realm.

He is also the prince of Demons, so he is ruling over those that chose to rebel against the creator.

Satan is not the counterpart to God, he is a created being with limited abilities and limited power. He wanted to be God remember, but he is not! He is the great imitator but not the creator!

We have many accounts of Satan’s influence in this realm around us, but one of the ones I love is the account of Daniel and his fasting and prayer. Daniel 10

We find that the Prince of Persia ( a Demon) withstood the angel sent with the message or answer for Daniel to his prayers for three weeks!

The angel said he had to have help from Micheal to get through, now that had to be a battle royal! Satan did not want that answer getting to Daniel obviously!

Where is this realm of Satan’s power? It’s the atmosphere around us, the unseen world that most of us are not privy too, and thanks be to God for that, it would drive us insane literally!

This is not to be confused with the heaven where God sits, and Yeshua is by His side awaiting his time to return. This is a battle zone in the unseen realm, a constant war going on for the souls of men! in this realm angels and demons battle over the plans of God.

Eph. 6:12 tells us we war not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual wickedness in high places…” we have many scriptures that tell of the spiritual battles that we fight.

His powers are of persuasion if you will, and being such a wise creation he was able to dupe Adam and Eve out of their authority as well. Remember that he tricked them into questioning God’s Authority and as a result all three of them, Adam, Eve and Satan lost out in the end!

The Bible tells us that Satan is the father of lies, that he is a murderer and a thief, these are his characteristics, and we see this same influence in the world today because of Satan’s rebellious nature.

We have been given authority over him by the sacrifice (the blood) of Yeshua ( Jesus), and through the power of the Holy Spirit to use the Word of God against him. The only thing that works against the adversary is “The Written Word of God!” Remember that Yeshua himself spoke only “it is written” in reply to Satan.

In order to possess this power over him, we must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit of God, that is where our backbone is if you will. We have no authority over the enemy otherwise.

Ezekiel 28 talks about Satan, his creation and his fall.

God is clear if we are not for him, we are against Him. I don’t know of anyone in their right mind who would want to be in that position, well other than Satan obviously!

None the less many people are in this catagory whether knowing or unknowingly. Because there is no invisible fence, your in or out, on or off, it’s totally up to us which one!

Remember to use the power against Satan, the adversary whenever he tries to pull the wool over your eyes, and tell you lies.

When he reminds you  of your past, you remind him of his future! His fate is sealed he has not chance, unlike us as long as we have breath in us we have an opportunity to turn from our sins and be restored back to God. Amen!

Isn’t our God a good, good God?

Heavenly Father really does know best!

pexels-photo-433267.jpeg

When God instructed Moses and Aaron to Quarantine those who were sick and afflicted with various contagious diseases, He really did know best!

It wasn’t until after the Black Plague or Bubonic Plague that it was noted that millions of lives could have been saved had they used these God-given instructions.

During this devastating outbreak of the 14th century those that were sick and the dead who had died of this disease along with the living were kept in the same rooms, thereby unknowingly spreading this plague like wildfire!

During this time they attributed the spreading to “evil spirits” but if they had kept God’s laws or better yet instructions on how to handle these outbreaks millions of lives would have been saved.

Arturo Castiglione an Italian born American medical historian  wrote about this in a an article he said “ the laws against leprosy in Leviticus chapter 13 may be regarded as the first model of sanitary legislation

In Leviticus chapters 13-15 we find God’s laws or instructions on how to keep these things from spreading by quarantining those who are sick.

I am sure you have heard the idiom ” avoid that person like the plague!”

We could and should take the same stance against the enemy of our soul, just like the plague, we should avoid the evil of the enemy and his wicked plans!

1 Thess. 5 tells us to avoid wickedness and even the appearance of evil!

Yeshua said that He is the way, the truth and the life, and He gave us and accurate depiction of Satan and his plans for us in John chapter 10.

The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, life in its fullest measure.” John 10:10 CJB

Hmm…  I guess God our Father really does know best!

Let’s remember to treat the enemy like the plague and avoid his evil traps!

Blessings to you!
